InsightExpress Announces Two New Appointments
Barbara Shapiro: Director, Media Sector Led by Kevin Hill, InsightExpress' Media Sector is dedicated to serving the media and entertainment industries. As a valued research partner, the group provides clients operating in the media and entertainment space with a wide range of innovative research techniques, in-depth industry knowledge, and a commitment to superior service. As a Director working in the company's Los Angeles office, Shapiro will be responsible for West Coast client development. Shapiro joins InsightExpress after working for many years as a Business Development/Sales Consultant. Most recently, she has worked with clients such as Emerging Media Dynamics, Inc., TV Worldwide, Kagan World Media, NATPE Mobile/Achilles Media, and A&E Television Networks. In addition to her consulting career, she worked for CYNOPSIS as the Director of Sales & Marketing. There she was responsible for all advertising and sponsorship sales for CYNOPSIS' daily email broadcast, cable programming news publications including CYNOPSIS: Kids and the MCE: Multi-Cultural Edition. Shapiro holds a Bachelor of Arts from New York University and attended the New York University's Graduate School of Interactive Telecommunications. Ray McIntyre: Senior Account Executive, Consumer Packaged Goods Sector Led by Pat DePietto, the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Sector is a growing practice area at InsightExpress. In his new role as Senior Account Executive, McIntyre will develop strong client relationships for the CPG Sector, provide clients with thoughtful consultation on research design, create insightful proposals, and deliver strategic sales presentations. He will be based out of the company's Manhattan office. McIntyre joins InsightExpress from Bluestreak where he held the position of Sales Director, National Accounts. In this role, he served as a main contact for clients, identifying their needs and using consultative techniques to provide solutions. He also collaborated with the Account Management team, Technical Support and Marketing Services to develop and present compelling proposals in order to demonstrate capabilities to senior level executives. Prior to Bluestreak, McIntyre was an Account Director at Lightspeed Research. There he worked with the North American CEO to seek new business opportunities, presented company capabilities to prospective clients, and managed projects from inception to delivery of results. McIntyre holds a B.S. from the University of Arizona and an M.S. from Golden Gate University.
